Educational institutions to be opened in phases from September 15
Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood announced the gradual opening of educational institutions across the country from September 15 to 30.
The Education Minister said that from September 15, ninth, tenth, intermediate and university education will be restored in schools, while classes from sixth to eighth will start from September 23 after a seven-day review.
In a media briefing with Dr Faisal Sultan on the launch of educational activities in the country, Shafqat Mahmood said that institutions of higher education ie universities, colleges and classes of 9th and 10th classes would be opened from September 15.
He said that from September 23, sixth to eighth grade students will be able to go to school.
Shafqat Mahmood added that after reviewing the situation on September 30, primary students will be allowed to go to school.
"Thanks to the parents, who spent 6 months with great patience, today we have reached the point where we can decide on the opening of educational institutions," he said.
The Federal Minister of Education also said that it is very important to monitor the health of children, so we have decided to open educational institutions gradually.
